EGG-cellent!!

Carter was so proud of all the Easter eggs he painted today! And he literally did it all by himself. My "Mr. I Do" did it all. The only thing mommy did was boil the eggs and brother Goose sat back and watched. Carter did a great job! He couldn't wait to show daddy his masterpieces!

Story Time

It doesn't happen often, but when Carter does actually sit down and let me read to him....it is simply priceless and a picture is needed for sure of it!

Carter & Calliou

Carter's favorite these days is Calliou! Everyday we have to either watch Calliou before bedtime or read books. We got a new Calliou book and it had a free wall poster included in it. So.....we taped Calliou up on his bedroom door.

Miles of Smiles.........

Our silly boys taking a ride on the good old Elmo car!!! Driving away with miles of smiles on their faces!

Just Chillin

This is were I found Gavin the other day. He is on the move....well not necessarily crawling forward yet, but lots of scooting, rolling and crawling backwards. Anyways, Carter was at school and I was in the kitchen cooking so I put Gavs on the floor for some much needed floor time. And...this is how I found him!

Gavin: 10 months

Well, it is very hard for me to believe that my baby is almost 1 year old!!! He is officially now double digits in the month department! The big 10 months! So I thought I would share 10 things about our Gavs:

1. Gavin loves Carter. He loves trying to keep up with his big brother. He thinks Carter is SO cool! AND...Gavin thinks he is 3 yrs. old just like Carter.

2. Gavin loves pizza. Yum! He can eat or shall I say chew a whole piece by himself.

3. Gavin loves watching Curious George. He already has a favorite cartoon.

4. Veggie Bootie is his favorite snack!

5. He loves bathtime and splashing!

6. Gavin is always smiling and laughing. That mouth is always wide open.

7. Gavin has the most beautiful eyelashes and eyes. On an average I get at least 3 compliments a week from random strangers.

8. Gavin is definitely going to have curly hair. The curls are already starting to come in. Daddy calls him "crazy hair."

9. Baby Gavin loves going on stroller walks. He loves fresh air and walks

10. He loves park swings!!!

We love you more than words can say baby Gavin!!!!

3 year old Stats

Carter had his 3 year check up with Dr. Bergquist last week. She was blown away by the fact that he can count to 30, do 32 piece puzzles all by himself , has such tremendous word recognition (over 40 words he can "read") and can spell his name and Gavin's perfectly! That's our smarty Carty!

Weight: 33 lbs. ( 60% percentile)

My Browned Eye Boy

I absolutely love this picture of Baby G

Mac & Cheese & Veggie Bootie Rock!!!

Snack time for the big boy!

Yum! Yum!

Big brother helping little brother sample some noodles.

Gavin has started really enjoying table food now. So last night he ate macaroni and cheese for the first time and enjoyed munching on some veggie bootie as well. He also tried some wild rice and cookies. He definitely has not been a baby that enjoys baby jar food. He actually refuses it a majority of the time. So I have decided to just feed him straight "people food." He is going to start eating teany tiny pieces of whatever Carter is eating now too. He looked like such a big boy picking up the food and putting it in his mouth. He was too cute!

9 Month Stats

Gavin had his 9 month check up with our favorite doc today Dr. Bergquist.

Weight: 20.5 lbs. (50% percentile)

Height: 30 1/4 inches (95% percentile)

His ears checked out good too as we have been battling with ear infections a lot lately. All we need to do is get him to start crawling now!!!

Matching Coats & Suckers

It was a rainy day so the boys wore their new matching spring jackets for the first time for our trip to the doctors. Noonie & Papa bought them for the boys. We did have to wait awhile to see the doctor so the boys were getting a bit antsy. So good thing for suckers!!!! I even let Gavin have one. With supervision of course! I figured what better place to be (an allergist office) to let Gavin try one out! He loved it and I think it helped with his "teething." Let's just say our new jackets were a bit of a sticky mess!

No CATS or DOGS allowed

Well we decided to take Carter to an allergist doctor this week because he has chronic eczema and has been battling with "wheezing" and bad coughing. So the allergist decided to do a skin test on him to determine if he has any allergies that might be causing this. Unfortunately we found out that he is indeed allergic to cats, dogs and dust mites. So we are on a mission now to find ways to help decrease the allergens so that Carter can be around his grandparents cats and dogs. Carter was such a trooper through out the whole visit and testing process. We were there for 2 hour learning about his allergies and potential asthma. Mommy is determined though to find ways to work around this and make sure that it does not effect Carter's quality of life in any way. Just a bit bummed because our little buddy loves animals so much. We will keep you all posted!

I LOVE Floor puzzles!!!!

Carter new favorite thing to do.....FLOOR PUZZLES!!! And he is super good at them. He can do them all by himself and gets so proud when he has completed one!

On Thursday, March 4th our "baby" turned the BIG 3!!! Hard to believe that 3 years ago we were blessed with our little Carter David. Today, he is a very active, healthy, passionate, independent, loveable, funny, strong willed, curious, friendly and busy little boy. He loves his music, his friends, little brother Gavin, being outdoors, riding his bike, going to Noni & Noonie's house, attending school, animals, garbage trucks, floor puzzles, sports, pizza, cartoons and gum. On Thursday his actual birthday he attended school. Gavin ,Noonie & I went to school early that day and brought Thomas the Train sprinkled cupcakes for his class. Everyone in his class sang "Happy Birthday" to him and then enjoyed some yummy cupcakes. He was so excited to celebrate with everyone at his school. After a fun filled day at school, we quickly took a "birthday nap" and then were off for a birthday dinner at California Pizza Kitchen were Daddy and Uncle Kevin met us. On Friday, we then hosted a birthday party at our house. Yes, you read correctly our ever so small and crowded condo! HAHA! It worked out great though. With the help of my mom and Darrell we rearranged our living room area and made it work. I had hired Ms. Emily a nice young girl that I met thru a Family Grounds Cafe to play the guitar and entertain the kids. We had a "Rock and Roll" themed party! Carter had 10 of his closest friends over to our house for some dancing, singing, a guitar arts/craft, pizza and cake! Noonie and Papa generously bought him the coolest guitar shaped cake ever and we had some very special guests drive in to join us. Aunt Kinny, Grandpa and Noni Micheli and The Burkart's all drove up for the party! Carter truly had a very memorable day! This birthday was extra special this year because this was the first year he really understood what a birthday was. For weeks prior to his actual birthday we practiced blowing out candles and singing "Happy Birthday." He loves telling me all the time now "Mommy I am 3!!!" I always reply "I know son, I know" "Mommy's baby is a BIG BOY now!"
Happy 3rd Birthday Carter David!!! Mommy, Daddy & Gavin love you SO MUCH!
