Carter's School Projects

Carter so proud of the "person" that he and I made and decorated for a homework assignment. All the kids had to create a little person that they will hang in the classrooms.

Carter the puppy dog. His class is learning about puppy's this month so when I picked him up from school the other day, he came walking out with his puppy hat on that he made.

Carter is doing great at Kensington Preschool. He is adapting well and making lots of friends. His teachers Ms. Russell and Ms. Zhang are awesome! He is already learning an ton and it just amazes me how quickly he picks up on things.
Stay tune for more Carter Micheli school projects and updates!!!

The Family

It isn't too often that we all get together and can capture a good picture none the less. So here it is!!! The family at Micah and Kim's wedding. Great couple. Memorable wedding!~

Goebbert's Pumpkin Farm: A Family Tradition

Gavin doesn't look to sure about this pony ride!

Carter very excited in the car on the way to the pumpkin farm
Bert, Ernie, Carter & Gavin posing for a picture. Gavin was in love with all the wooden characters that they had in the pumpkin patch area. He kept going up to them and giving them kisses.
Happy Gavin posing with mommy next to Woody

Can you tell me how to get....how to get to SESAME STREET??

Big brother posing happily with Buzz Light Year

It is a tradition to get the boys picture by this "How tall are you this fall?

Love this picture! Gavin so joyful because he knows how to run now and typical Carter chasing him with his mouth wide open as always! haha

Carter's favorite thing at the patch. Chopper the pumpkin eating dragon! Smoke blows out of his nose and he eats pumpkins!

This is our third annual trip to Goebbert's Pumpkin Patch which is in South Barrington, Illinois. Darrell and I love taking the boys here every fall to pick out pumpkins, enjoy all the yummy apple donuts and cider, visit the petty zoo and just tour around the farm. This year they had added a few new things to the farm such as a camel ride and a bouncy house. Gavin was able to enjoy the farm this year too since he is activitely walking and just experiencing everything in the life of a toddler. Both boys loved running around and enjoyed the fresh fall air. Fall is my favorite time of year. I just love everything it has to offer.

Gavin: 15 month stats

Gavin John at 15 months:

Weight: 24 lb.s 8 oz. (50% percentile)
Height: 32 1/2 inches (90% percentile)

Our Gavs had his 15 month check up today. He also had the dreaded MMR shot today too. Ouch! We saw Dr. Bergquist for the last time today as well, which was very hard on mommy. I absolutely loved her. I felt such a strong connection with her that sometimes I thought of her more as a friend and less as a doctor. She is one of the most compassionate people I know. She helped Darrell and I thru some really tough times when Carter was in the ICU as an infant and whenever Gavin spiked a high fever. I have never felt like an "annoying" first time mommy to her. I continue to refer all my friends to her and they all feel the same way. It is definitely going to be hard putting my trust and my precious babies in another doctors hands. They will have some big shoes to fill. So thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr. B. The boys and I think you are the best!!!!
Dr. B couldn't believe how well behaved my little Gavin was at his check up. He just watched her look into his ears, he opened his mouth right on cue and sat quietly while she listened to his heartbeat. I told her if every baby was just like Gavin, I would have a 3rd for sure! We talked about all Gavin's developmental milestones. He is right on target with all of them, even pretty advanced in the speech department, which was definitely nice to hear. He has lots of words and they are very clear to the ear. He is very active, alert and understands directions too. The only thing we need to do now is eat MORE veggies!!! Definitely not a favorite of Gavin's. He loves meats and fruits, but won't touch a pea or piece of corn to save his soul!
Hard to believe my baby baby is 15 months old and running around everywhere. Yep, I said RUNNING! Oh... and climbing too!

Will post some recent pics soon! Still trying to figure out the camera on our new phones!!!
