Internet Issues:URGH

I am BEYOND FRUSTRATED!!! We are having internet issues which in case I have NOT been able to download any photos to post on the blog. Please note that my computer wiz of a hubby is on it and we are trying to resolve our problemo. In the meantime all I can do is write, no pics :(

Gavin SITS UP all by HIMSELF

Today at Carter's music class little Gavin decided to sit up all by himself. He was first leaning on me, but seemed to have a good balance so I let go and he sat for what was probably a good 10 seconds before he leaned toward. I was amazed at his strength and very impressed that our little 5 month old already sat up. Looks like we will be practicing some more later today. I think Gavin is just SO ready to start playing with big brother Carter. He loves watching him play and thinks that everything Carty does is so funny!!!! Go Gavy!

Gavin EATS solids for the 1st time

'
YUMMY!

Today was a special day for Mr. Gavin because it was the first time we got the spoon out and fed him some yummy cereal. I tried the rice cereal first and he didn't seem to be too impressed by it. He put a little in his mouth but spit a majority of it out. So this afternoon we tried some oatmeal and he loved it. What a mess though! Between big brothers many attempts "to help" and trying to keep Gavin from sticking his beloved fingers in his mouth while I was shoveling the cereal in. Let's just say we got plenty on the floor and our clothes. Next week I think we will start trying some yummy vegetables!

It's been a great year~

Thank you to everyone for making my birthday a very special one this year! Thank you mom, dad and Kendra for cooking me such a great dinner, baking my brownie cake, my gifts and for helping so much with the boys all the time! Thank you Carter for beautifully singing Happy Birthday to me numerous times and for doing such a great job blowing out my candles. I love that you are so verbal now and it made this year extra special because you sang to me. This year has been very special to me because it is also the year I gave birth to my precious Gavin. Thank you Gavin for arriving to us healthy and for being the very best baby a mommy could ask for. Finally, I will thank my wonderful husband for treating me to a nice dinner, some "me" time and for my surprise gift! I can't wait to get that massage!!!! Oh, and last but not least thanks to Kevin (and Elisha too) for babysitting for us so we could have a nice night out. It was more appreciated than you know. I love you all so very much~

Our trip to Goebbert's Pumpkin Farm

Our beautiful boys and their pumpkin

Our little pumpkin pie!

Carter's FAVORITE thing at Goebbert's Pumpkin Farm. The great orange dinosaur that gobbled up bad pumpkins, chewed them up in his mouth and then gave out a big burp! Carter was mesmorized by this machine. Poor Darrell's shoulders were killing him because Carty was on daddy's shoulders for a long time watching!
Gavin in his festive ghost bib! Thanks Aunt Knee-Knee!

Our little pumpkin got to see a real pumpkin for the first time today. He kept trying to "eat" it!

Not the best family pic in the world, but hey...we will take what we can get!

Me & G shopped around the inside area of the patch. It was a little cold and windy there and Carter and daddy were spending a lot of time watching the big orange dinosaur outside! Mommy enjoyed a nice little bday treat...a yummy apple donut!

Carter taking his turn driving the fire truck. Can you tell he was super excited?
Well what do you know.....Elmo was out at Goebbert's too today!

Me and my boys taking a break at the pumpkin patch!

Carter on a pony ride. He loved it.

Hilarous.

I will do ANYTHING to get out of going to bed

Wait....maybe if I get on my Elmo car and peddle REALLY fast my mom won't catch me. OR wait....maybe if I hide behind my cool sunglasses my dad won't recognize me. I will do ANYTHING to procrastinate the bedtime process.
