On Thursday, March 4th our "baby" turned the BIG 3!!! Hard to believe that 3 years ago we were blessed with our little Carter David. Today, he is a very active, healthy, passionate, independent, loveable, funny, strong willed, curious, friendly and busy little boy. He loves his music, his friends, little brother Gavin, being outdoors, riding his bike, going to Noni & Noonie's house, attending school, animals, garbage trucks, floor puzzles, sports, pizza, cartoons and gum. On Thursday his actual birthday he attended school. Gavin ,Noonie & I went to school early that day and brought Thomas the Train sprinkled cupcakes for his class. Everyone in his class sang "Happy Birthday" to him and then enjoyed some yummy cupcakes. He was so excited to celebrate with everyone at his school. After a fun filled day at school, we quickly took a "birthday nap" and then were off for a birthday dinner at California Pizza Kitchen were Daddy and Uncle Kevin met us. On Friday, we then hosted a birthday party at our house. Yes, you read correctly our ever so small and crowded condo! HAHA! It worked out great though. With the help of my mom and Darrell we rearranged our living room area and made it work. I had hired Ms. Emily a nice young girl that I met thru a Family Grounds Cafe to play the guitar and entertain the kids. We had a "Rock and Roll" themed party! Carter had 10 of his closest friends over to our house for some dancing, singing, a guitar arts/craft, pizza and cake! Noonie and Papa generously bought him the coolest guitar shaped cake ever and we had some very special guests drive in to join us. Aunt Kinny, Grandpa and Noni Micheli and The Burkart's all drove up for the party! Carter truly had a very memorable day! This birthday was extra special this year because this was the first year he really understood what a birthday was. For weeks prior to his actual birthday we practiced blowing out candles and singing "Happy Birthday." He loves telling me all the time now "Mommy I am 3!!!" I always reply "I know son, I know" "Mommy's baby is a BIG BOY now!"
Happy 3rd Birthday Carter David!!! Mommy, Daddy & Gavin love you SO MUCH!
