My Blue Eyed Boy is...........

ALMOST 3!!!! So hard to believe that next week my baby is turning 3 years old. Where does the time go? I still remember the day he was born like it was yesterday.

Ma-Ma!

The word that absolutely just melts your heart when you precious baby says it for the 1st time. Although little Gavs was sick with a double ear infection last week, he still managed to say my name for the first time. He says it clear as day and it sounds so cute!

Happy Birthday Noonie & Noni!!

A very Happy Birthday Wish to two very special grandmothers. Noni Micheli celebrated her birthday on Saturday, February 13th. Although we weren't able to actually visit with her that day, Carter did make a video for her! Darrell recorded him with our new Flip Camera. He played his guitar and sang "Happy Birthday" to her. We then emailed it to her and she was thrilled to receive it. We did get to visit with Noonie a few days before her actually birthday, which was yesterday. I stopped off and got her some Sweet Mandie B's cupcakes and of course Carter had to help blow out the candles and sing to her a few times. Let's just say he is getting really prepared for his own birthday next month!!! As for Gavin...this picture of him cracks me up! Looks like he is licking his lips and thinking... "yum! now only if I could reach that frosting I would gobble it up."

Hooray! Big day for a little boy! Well, after many weeks of chewing, drooling, runny noses and even a temperature....Gavin Goose got his very first tooth! It popped out yesterday. Bottom left. One down and many more to go!

Happy 1st Valentine's Day baby Gavin!!! The day started off good, but then after nap he woke up with his very 1st fever. 102.5 ouch! Mommy called the doctor and we are giving him lots of Motrin and monitoring him. Keeping our fingers crossed it goes down soon :(

Ildi's Visit & Girls Retreat to Michigan

My good friend Ildiko who resides in Anchorage Alaska came to Chicago to visit us this past weekend. She got to meet baby Gavin for the first time and got to see how big Carter has grown since her last visit. Ildi and I have not seen each other for over 2 years now. So when I told her about a fun girls weekend I had planned with my mommy friends, she jumped on a plane and joined us! I have to say I feel very fortunate that Ildi loves to travel and has frequent flyer miles so it is also very affordable for her to do so. I know it is MY turn to visit her next and meet her little guy Logan. Darrell and I are seriously considering an Alaskian vacation with the boys next summer. So here we are enjoying a few mojito's at a local restaurant in Michigan while on our girls weekend get a way!

For our last night in Michigan we went out for dinner to an awesome place that served homemade bread that was out of this world!

The Ryder's home. This is my friend Kate's family home were we all stayed at in Michigan. The home was right on Lake Michigan and absolutely breath taking.
