Any Day Now...........
I am 38.5 weeks along. I am 2 cm dilated and having lots of labor signs and contractions. I went to my final doctor's appointment today and she said she would be surprised if I make it through the weekend. So we will see! I am scheduled for the c-section on Monday regardless. 6 more days....however, baby may decided to join the world sooner.
Stay tune for an email and pictures once he arrives..............

Mother's Day
The best Mom's day gift of all.....Carty kisses XOXO
I have to say.....that I had an absolutely wonderful Mother's Day thanks to my boys (Darrell & Carter). For starters, Darrell suprised me with a very special gift. He actually had all of my blog entries converted into a book. It was so neat to see all of my work complied neatly into such a keepsake. It made me realize how important my "blogging" is to him and our family. I will continue to maintain the blog as best as I can in hopes that he in turn will continue to design these awesome books for me. They are so much better than any regular old photo album. The book consists of 165 pages of my writings and pictures. I would love to share the book with anyone that is interested in checking it out. The website Darrell used the template from to create the book was http://www.blurp.com/ . Carter, "baby" and Darrell also got me a silver tag necklace that had 2 disks on each. Each disk had my boys name on it and a birthstone attached to it. So I can always have my two babies close to my heart. It is a very beautiful necklace that I look forward to wearing. Lastly, Carter and Darrell took me out to my favorite breakfast spot Nookies for some yummy pancakes and freshly squeezed OJ. Carter gave me 2 other VERY NICE gifts.....1. He slept in till 7:45am! An all time record. 2. He ATE a GREAT breakfast. As many of you know, eating is not his thing and his lack there of always stresses me out. So, I was relieved and well rested. After breakfast the three of us headed over to the OZ Park to play while we waited for Noonie, Papa and Aunt Knee-Knee to arrive at our house. My family joined us in the afternoon for a nice walk, a little duck feeding and just a very relaxing visit and cook out at our place. Next Mother's Day will even be more special because I will have both my sons here to celebrate. Thanks Darrell~ I love you.
Sesame Street: Elmo Live Show
Carter loved all the lights, props and costumes
The show!

Darrell and I decided to treat Carter to one last thing before baby brother arrived. We wanted just the three of us to have a very fun and memorable weekend together. So a couple months ago when one of my girlfriends mentioned that the Sesame Street: Elmo Live Show was coming to the Rosemont Theatre I knew that was the perfect thing to do with Carty! The show as absolutely adorable. It was all about what Elmo wanted to be when he grows up. A firefighter? A Spanish teacher? A police officer? Hmmm....each little act was so cute. All the Sesame Street characters were a part of the show and the props and stage were very appealing to the eyes of all the little Elmo fans! Carter LOVED the show. He sat on Darrell's lap the whole entire show with the biggest smile on his face. He waved "hi" to Elmo and clap after each scene. He danced and laughed and just was so happy to be at "Elmo's house." We had great seats up front and it was not surprising to me when Carter cried when the show was over. He didn't want to leave and wanted "more Elmo." He got a Sesame Street t-shirt and ball and a big Elmo balloon so he did end up leaving happily!

Thank You Daddy Darrell
Carter, Baby and I dedicate this post to "Ga-ga" (the name Carter prefers to call Darrell).
This weekend we were in baby mode and Darrell had lots of things on our baby list that he tackled. The room is all decorated and looks ADORABLE. Pictures hung, beds in place. The pack and play is all set up our bedroom, he took apart my desk and moved the rocking chair in our room and the baby's carseat is all safe and secure in the car. So......we just wanted to say a BIG "thanks" and let daddy know how much we love him and all he does for our family!!!!

Dana, Dana, Momma Dana
Well for the first time today Carter said my given name. And let's just say now that he knows it, he loves saying it. Over, over and over again. We were at Panera for lunch today and the worker announced "order for Dana" so I naturally went to the counter to pick up our food. Well, Carter saw this and said "Dana?" and I said "Yes, Carter Momma's name is Dana." Well apparantly this connection was hysterical to Carty because all through lunch he would say my name and giggle. Perhaps that is his way of telling Noonie that he thinks she picked out a very silly name for me (I have been saying that one for years!) Oh, the little things in life surely put a smile on one 2 year olds face! I just love watching him laugh.
